Fifteen-session course on AI and digital competency for teachers

Built by seven teachers from Gyeongnam province against the Ministry of Education's 2026 competency framework. I wrote three sessions on teaching and assessment design and delivery. Hosted on the National Education Training Institute platform, which serves teachers nationwide.

A ten-session certification bootcamp for a company's leadership team

Running a certification track for seven people including the chief executive, in their own meeting room. It began as preparation for moving to Google Workspace at enterprise level. By the midpoint the team was proposing where else to take it without being asked.

Leading a Korean delegation to Singapore

The Grange Institution's account of a Global Insight Expedition delegation I led, with a vice dean from Kookmin University's College of Business, a director at an accounting firm, an e-commerce vice president, a school operations specialist and a civil engineering expert.

Joining the southeast edtech alliance

부산대학교 × 동남권 에듀테크 Alliance

A regional alliance built in stages at Pusan National University. The first round in 2025 signed thirteen organisations including Microsoft Korea, KT and LG Uplus. G-DEAL signed in the second, alongside two universities, the Busan city government, the metropolitan office of education and three academic societies. Over a hundred companies took part in the exchange around it. I attended and spoke as G-DEAL's representative.

Three provincial AI education grants, won in the same cycle

Digital transformation, AI literacy, and specialist teacher training. Mine was the only school in the province to secure all three. The province selects twenty-one schools in total across primary, middle and high school levels. I wrote each application, ran vendor selection under public procurement rules, and cleared the provincial audit without finding. The provincial office then asked me to present to other schools on how the budget was used.

A Google for Education programme for teachers. I lectured to over a thousand educators in Busan and to three hundred and fifty in Daegu, on how schools were actually using the tools and where it was going wrong. Both figures are conservative counts.

Why the tool was never the point

A column I wrote for The Edu on why edtech only works once the lesson design does. It opens with a class I built as an escape room. The students cheered for an hour, then the written exam came and their faces went blank.

A forty-five part series on digital education in practice

The Edu ran a series through the second half of 2024 on what G-DEAL's member communities were actually doing in classrooms, from drone instruction to assessment design to physical computing. I wrote one of the opening pieces and helped shape the run.

The alliance at its founding

Electronic Times coverage of G-DEAL's founding assembly. The alliance grew out of a Google Educator Group chapter I helped start in 2019 and later led. It opened with about 200 educators and now has 600.

Four provincial education policy reports

Co-researcher on four reports published by the Gyeongnam Office of Education. The 2024 report was written with two university professors of education.
